There are three medical colleges, fifteen engineering colleges, three Ayurveda College, six other medical colleges, two Homeopathy College and several other law colleges. The Trivandrum medical college is one of the India’s best medical colleges.

Trivandrum medical college has been upgraded to the status of all India institute if medical sciences. This is the highest body of the government of India in the field of medical sciences.

Even the college of engineering which is in Trivandrum is one of the well known colleges of India. There are other two business colleges which are renowned all over the India; the colleges are Asian school of business and the IIITM-K.

These two business school gives the best training in the field of management. These two business colleges are situated inside the Techno Park. Even the capital Thiruvananthapuram has the most technologically advanced institute of space technology which is first of its kind in the whole of India.
