Ayurveda is supposed to be the oldest treatment technique in the entire world. The actual meaning of Ayurveda is ‘Science of life’.

Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Calicut university, kerala
Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College is regarded as the most prestigious college of Ayurveda colleges in kerala. The College was established in 1976 and located in Ollur, Thrissur district Kerala. The Vaidyarathnam College offers a bachelors course in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery.

Duration of the bachelor’s course should be four and half year with one year internship in house surgery. The process of admission is on the basis an entrance examination conducted by the Kerala government. Minimum qualification is pre-degree with science stream. There are only 40seat for the particular course. The college is affiliated by Calicut University, Kerala and recognized by central council of Indian medicine.

Govt. Ayurveda College, Thripunithura, Kerala
This college is the second oldest college of ayurvedic in the state of Kerala. The college was begun in 1929 under M.G University kottyam, Kerala. Exactly the govt.college is placed in Puthiyakavu which is two kilometer far from Thripunithura Township.

The govt. Ayurveda College has offer bachelors course in ayurvedic medicine and surgery.  Four and half year including one year of internship will be the duration of above course.

Minimum qualification is 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology. Designing of the course is in three module.I professional course of 18 months, 18 months for II professional course. And III professional course 18 months.

Vaidyarathnam   P.S.Varier Ayurveda College, kottakkal, Malappuram Kerala
Vaidyarathnam Ayurvedic College was started by the famous physian and philanthropist P.S.Varier in 1902 at kottakkal Kerala.  Earlier the institution was started as a small village clinic of Ayurveda, now the intuition was grown- up into multi-disciplinary, mutli-unit, multi-core intuition.

The college is established under Calicut University Kerala. This college offers four and half year of bachelor course in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery. Process of admission is on the basis of common entrance examination conduct by state of Kerala. This college also have a  research centre for their student.
