- Kerala agricultural university, Thrissur, Kerala
Kerala agricultural university, located in Thrissur district of Kerala is one of the leading agricultural universities in Kerala. The university was established on 24th February 1971 under the Act 33 of 1971.

The state legislature of Kerala entitled this university as “The agricultural university Act, 1971”, The university deals with all the production activities which are based on water and land such as animal husbandry, crop production and many more. Kerala Agriculture University has four faculties, ten colleges and approx 56 departments which offer bachelors’, masters’ and PHD program in different agricultural subjects like horticulture, animal husbandry, dairy science and veterinary.
The Kerala agricultural University also provides training and research centre for the agriculture students. All the admission of the Kerala University is going on the basis of common entrance examination. The commissioner of entrance examination, the government of Kerala conducts this entrance examination. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with 50%marks with physics, chemistry and biology. Every year in march-April notification regarding entrance examination can be issued by the Kerala University. |

The Vellayni College of agriculture was originated in May 1955. This college is supposed to be on of the best college in the field of agriculture. The college is situated in travancore, Cochin district. The college of agriculture Vellayni offers variety of courses on bachelors’ level as well as masters’ level.
The courses like Agronomy, horticulture, soil science, entomology, plant pathology etc are offers for the students. In the year 1962 this college starts PHD program. For the admission Minimum qualification is 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology. For the masters course student must clear Bachelor in Science in any scientific discipline.

Kelappaji College of agriculture engineering and technology is located in tavanur, malappuram Kerala. The college offers B.Tech in agricultural engineering. The candidate must clear 10+2with 50%marks in physics, chemistry and math’s. The college also provides domicile reservation for people from Kerala. |
